The Working and Living Extinction Museum

Date of Post

Located in the centre of the Ouseburn Valley, the scheme highlights insects as a species. Insects as a species are often overlooked due to their size. They do, however, play a massive role in the circle of life and are essential to the good health of the planet. The scheme is constructed within an existing brick building, located on the site. Situated on the east side of the Ouseburn River the building sits between the newly built residential Malings to its west and the ‘Ward Bros Steel Ltd’ scrap yard. The difference in elevation on both sides of the building make for unique opportunities.
